Washing Machine Broken Down?
We can’t repair it — but we can help you stay ahead of the washing while you get your home machine fixed.
No booking, no membership, no coins. Turn up, use a machine, pay by card. Open every day from 7am to 10pm in Stanmore Bay.

A Broken Machine Doesn’t Have to Mean a Mountain of Washing
Repairs take time. Parts get ordered, technicians get booked out, and a new machine can be weeks away. Meanwhile the basket keeps filling up — school uniforms, work clothes, towels, sheets.
One trip here resets the whole situation. Our largest washer takes 27KG and our largest dryer takes 34KG — up to around six laundry baskets — so a week’s backlog goes through in one go rather than five separate home loads.
A full wash and dry takes about 60 minutes, and you’re inside Coast Plaza while it runs, so you can do the groceries at the same time.
Only Half Your Setup Is Broken? That’s Fine Too
You don’t have to use both machines. Use whichever one you’re missing:
- Dryer broken, washer fine — wash at home, bring the wet load here and dry it. Dryer time starts at $1.20 and you pick the minutes. More on using our dryers when yours has broken down.
- Washer broken, dryer fine — wash here for 30 minutes and take it home damp to finish in your own dryer or on the line.
- Both out of action — do the lot in one visit, washed and dried in about an hour.
See what each machine size costs on our pricing page.
What to Bring on Your First Visit
- Your washing — sorted into loads if you can, it makes machine picking easier.
- Detergent — bring your favourite, or buy a soap bag for $2 from the vending machine in-store.
- A card or your phone — everything is cashless. EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard, paywave, or the SpeedQueen app. No coins.
Machines have labels showing where powder or liquid goes before the cycle starts, and there are staff-written instructions on each unit. If it’s your first time in a laundromat, our FAQ page covers the practical questions.
Washing pet bedding? Dog beds and pet blankets go in our dedicated Purple Paws machines, which are kept for pet products only.
Save Yourself a Wasted Trip
You can check which machines are free right now before you load the car. The SpeedQueen app does the same, and messages you when your cycle is nearly done.
We’re open 7am–10pm, seven days. Machines close at 9:20pm — to wash and dry in the same visit, start washing by 8:40pm.
